Garlic & Herb Cheese Toastie
Nothing beats a grilled cheese toastie. But you can forget the butter, we reckon our Garlic and Herb Oil takes toasties to the next level. Give it a try.
Makes 1
Ingredients
2 slices of bread (we used sourdough)
200g of grated cheese (we used a mix of cheddar and mozzarella)
25ml littleseed Garlic & Herb Rapeseed oil
Method
Heat a frying pan up on medium heat.
Brush or drizzle both side of bread slices with littleseed Garlic & Herb Rapeseed Oil.
Pile one slice of the bread with most of the cheese (save a handful for later).
Once the pan is heated, add the slice of bread with the cheese on top.
Add the other slice of bread on top of the cheese.
Once one side is nicely toasted in the pan, turn the toastie over so the other side of the bread begins to toast.
Keep and eye on the cheese inside, making sure its melting nicely.
Brush the bread with a little more Garlic & Herb Oil, if desired.
Once the bread is nicely toasted, take it out of the pan, but keep the pan on a medium heat.
Add a layer of the remaining cheese to the bottom of the pan in the shape of our toastie.
Pop your toastie back on top of the cheese in the pan to melt and crisp up slightly.
Take out of the pan and enjoy!
