HOW OUR RAPESEED IS MADE

Our seeds are planted not long after the previous year’s crops have been harvested. They are then left in the ground for nearly a year before they are ready to harvest themselves. In that time they grow from being a green leafy crop, to golden yellow flowers and finally seed pods where the rapeseeds are formed.

These seeds are what we press to make our oil. Our presses are simply like large screws which cold press the seeds by squeezing the oil gently from them. We literally ‘press’ the oil out of the seeds. That.is.it. Nothing more, nothing less.

Our award-winning oil is then naturally filtered and sent down our bottling line where we bottle it ready to hit the shelves and your kitchen.

Rapeseed oil fact: Did you know it takes roughly one kilogram of seeds to fill a 500ml bottle? We’ll leave you to do the maths!
