Homemade smokey baked beans

These homemade baked beans are nutritious, delicious and great value too. There’s nothing wrong with a tin of baked beans - we love them just as much as the next person. But homemade baked beans are on a totally different level. We use our Garlic & Herb oil, smoked paprika and Worcestershire sauce to make them taste EXTRA special.

Ingredients

  • 1 white onion

  • littleseed Garlic & Herb Oil

  • 2 tsp Smoked Paprika

  • 2 x 400g tins of cannellini beans

  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce

  • 500g Passata

  • 1 tbsp tomato puree

Method

1. Peel and finely dice the onion using a knife.

2. Put a saucepan on a medium heat and add a generous drizzle of garlic & herb oil. Add the onion and cook until the onion starts to soften.

3. Add the smoked paprika and stir in, then add the two tins of beans to the pan including the liquid from the tins.

4. Add the tomato puree, Worcestershire sauce and passata and stir until combined.

5. Season with salt and pepper. Turn the heat down to low and leave the beans to simmer for 20 minutes
